White Chocolate Macadamia Brownies

We are all accustomed to making brownies with brown chocolate. Ever tried making a brownie with white chocolate? It is sinfully rich and an absolute taste sensation! So spoil yourself to these delightful treats....


Ingredients:


-6 ounces white chocolate, chopped
-5 Tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
-2 large eggs
-1 cup sugar
-1 tsp vanilla
-1 cup flour
-1/2 tsp baking powder
-1/4 tsp salt
-1/2 cup macadamia nuts, toasted lightly and chopped coarse
-1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation:


1. Preheat oven to 350°F. and butter and flour a 9-inch square baking pan.
2. In a double boiler over a saucepan of barely simmering water melt chocolate and butter, stirring, until smooth.
3. Cool chocolate mixture to room temperature.
4. With an electric mixer beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla until thickened and pale and beat in white chocolate mixture.
5. Into a bowl sift together flour, baking powder, and salt and beat into chocolate mixture just until batter is combined well.
6. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips and spread batter evenly in pan.
7. Bake brownies in middle of oven 30 to 35 min.
8. Cool brownies in pan before cutting.
